From Students to Tutors

Cub Support is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting students in need of educational support. Our establishment coincided with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when classes shifted to a remote format. This transition posed challenges for students of all ages and exacerbated educational disparities, particularly for those from low-income families and underserved communities. Despite the pandemic's conclusion, lingering impacts on learning are still evident. Cub Support aims to bridge this gap by providing free, virtual academic support to K-12 students.

Our Ongoing Journey

As we continue to expand, our dedication to mitigating the impact of educational inequities remains steadfast. We firmly believe that every student deserves access to quality education, resources, and opportunities. Currently, we are working on initiatives, partnerships, and programs aimed at creating a more equitable and accessible learning experience for all.

Our Current Initiatives

    • As we reflect on the past year, we are thrilled to share a heartwarming highlight from our community outreach initiatives. Last year, we had the privilege of providing free toys to all the students of Orville Wright Elementary.

    • A total of 372 students were recipients of this gesture, and the joy it brought to their faces was truly priceless. It's heartening to witness the positive impact such initiatives can have on the lives of young minds.

    • We are excited about the possibilities for even greater positive change in the future! Thank you for being a part of our mission to spread joy and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

    • In partnership with Stanford BIOME and Modesto High School’s Community Health in Action (CHIA) club, we are excited to announce our newest initiative, which embodies our commitment to fostering STEM opportunities in underserved communities. This year, we donated 200 Foldscopes to Modesto City Schools and organized an interactive workshop for students to engage in experiments and learn how to use these valuable tools.

    • Our goal is to bridge the gap in STEM education by bringing hands-on learning experiences to communities that may not traditionally have access to such resources. The workshop was a resounding success, with participants expressing enthusiasm and curiosity as they delved into the world of scientific exploration.

    • We believe that everyone deserves the chance to explore and excel in STEM fields and initiatives like these play a pivotal role in making that vision a reality.

    • In our ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy and productive learning environment, we recently donated reusable water bottles to support hydration among high school students.

    • Dehydration can have a significant impact on cognitive function, affecting students' ability to focus. By providing reusable water bottles, we aim to encourage and make it easier for students to stay hydrated throughout the day, ultimately supporting their academic success.

Our Future

As we embark on the journey ahead, we envision expanding our initiatives and reaching even greater heights. Whether it's addressing educational inequities, promoting health and well-being, or fostering community engagement, our dedication to these causes will be at the forefront of our endeavors. With the support of our volunteers, community, and partners, we will continue to strive for a better tomorrow, fueled by our shared vision and collective determination to create positive change. Come join us on our journey!
